The final round of the youth contest ""The Star of the Year-2019"", which became one of the brightest events of the New Year's programme, took place In Ashgabat. Ten young singers were qualified for the final stage of the artistic marathon. According to the rules of the contest, the competitors performed two songs, one of them without musical accompaniment, so that the authoritative jury fully appreciated the purity and beauty of everyone’s voice, the ability to manage it and establish emotional contact with the audience. The musical contest lasted for several hours, immediately after the performance of one or another competitor, famous artists expressed their opinions and gave advice to their young colleagues. According to the results of the competition, the winner of the artistic marathon and the holder of the title “The Star of the Year-2019” was the young but already quite popular performer - Azat Donmezov, a fifth-year student of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture. “Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy” Cup and bonus were awarded to the winner. Eldar Ahmedov - soloist of the folklore and dancing group “Galkynyş” of the oil and gas complex; Rahman Hudayberdiev – a member of the folklore group “Ahal öwüşginleri” of the Department of Culture of the Ahal Velayat; Seyitguly Tulegenov – a first-year student of the Institute of Culture took the first, second and third places respectively.
