The aspects of partnership between Turkmenistan, United Nations Population Fund and the International Labour Organization are discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On February 20, 2020, a meeting was held in the MFA of Turkmenistan between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan V.Hajiyev and the UNFPA Country Director for Turkmenistan Giullia Vallese. During the meeting, the parties noted the success of long-term cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations Population Fund. The effectiveness of joint projects developed and implemented on the national level was underlined, as well as the exchange of views on further steps aimed at the enhancement of measures in the field of reproductive health, family planning and child development took place. Noting the significance of coordinated actions on the regional and global scale, the parties discussed the work of Turkmenistan in the area of human rights provision, in particular the assistance to migrants and stateless people, including the issues of social protection.

On February 20, 2020, a meeting was held in the MFA of Turkmenistan between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Senior Specialist of the International Labour Organization Country Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Lejo Sibbel. In the beginning of the meeting, the parties stated the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the International Labour Organization during many years. It was noted that being a participant of a number of fundamental conventions of the ILO, Turkmenistan comprehensively works on the provision of decent labour, adhering to the norms of gender equality, labour protection. The parties specifically noted that in current period of globalization and economic integration, the issues pertaining to the regulation of labour relations on the regional, as well as on the worldwide level are becoming more relevant.
