Spring green campaign has been started in Turkmenistan with participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. National action of tree planting, which took place all over the country, was timed to International Nowruz Day – National Spring Holiday, which is representing the generosity of nature in the period of its spring renewal and blooming, commitment to spiritual traditions and values, one of which is the care of native land. Green oases have spread for thousands of hectares in different parts of the country especially in picturesque foothills in the outskirts of Turkmen capital. Pine grooves whisper with their branches, give fresh air and pleasant cool in this place, which once upon a time was represented by bare foothills and slope. Number of trees is counted by tens of millions already. Totally, 10 million tress will be planted in Turkmenistan in 2020 according to the Resolution of the Head of the State. All ministries and departments, regional and Ashgabat administrations are involved in green campaigns. In particular, 5 million seedlings of deciduous, coniferous fruit and vine trees will be planted around the capital between Ak Bugday and Baherden etrap in Ahal Velayat and the same number in other regions of the country. … Early in the morning, numerous participants of the event have gathered at Nowruz ýaýlasy place in the foothill valley of Ahal, where the building in the shape of huge yurta Türkmeniň ak öýi was built. The vehicle of the President of Turkmenistan comes to the place of green campaign. The Head of the State is greeted with the Sppeaker of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, Heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, universities and mass media, hyakims of Ahal Velayat and Ashgabat. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is cordially welcomed by representatives of public organizations, elders and youth, which are ready to start work at big plot of land where seedlings of tress have been brought. Turkmen leader congratulated the participants of National Spring Holiday – International Nowruz Day, which is widely observed in the country, having highlighted that one of the most ancient celebration in the world occupies special place in cultural development of humanity. After, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to the place prepared for planting of trees where he planted young juniper tree, having given a start to new phase of green works. All the participants have joined Turkmen leader. Representatives of almost all branches of national economy took part in the event. Having appreciated the scale of current green works expanded in the foothill valley of the Kopetdag, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave number of instructions to relative leaders for further development of this territory. Having expressed gratitude to all who took part in the green campaign, the President of Turkmenistan left the place of event.
