The State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs hosted the meeting in video conference format between representatives of Turkmenistan and Japanese Bank for Internatioanl Cooperation (JBIC). Having stated with delight positive practice of business contacts between the Government of Turkmenistan and Japanese bank for International Cooperation acquired for more than 20 years, the participants of the meeting noted high efficiency of joint projects in different spheres under relative bilateral agreements. Credit agreements between the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs and JBIC signed for financing of construction of big oil and gas complex, power and chemical industry are example of such work. Discussing on perspectives of productive relations, representatives of Japanese Bank expressed interest in partnership on new projects, from this point of view, Turkmen side made proposals on participation in modernization of the leading segments of national economy. In this regard, cooperation in agricultural and water management, in particular application of advanced technologies and practice of Japan in prevention of mud streams and their diversion from settlements was the subject of discussion. Subjects of further cooperation in oil, gas and chemical industries have also been reviewed. Having noted the efficiency of economic strategy of Turkmen leader, Representatives of JBIC expressed willingness of business structures and financial institutes of their country to continue developing bilateral relations. Secial attention has been paid to development of new forms of the partnership between Japanese Bank and Government and banking structures of Turkmenistan as well as financing of projects implemented with participation of the leading companies of Japan. It was highlighted that implementation of joint plans would serve to further dynamic development of national economy by diversification of fuel and energy complex, construction of modern high-technology facilities making production, which is on high demand in the world markets. At the same time, it was noted that JBIC tries to create business opportunities for Japanese companies u different spheres by investments, thus supporting interstate dialog.
