Meeting in online format, which was held between representatives of the Ministry of trade and Foreign Economic Relations and Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was dedicated to discussion of priority aspects of Turkmen – Uzbek cooperation including in trade and economic sphere. Exchanging the views on perspectives of cooperation, the sides noted that our countries have potential for increment of volumes of trade, investments, implementation of beneficial projects in different branches of the economy due to high level of interstate connections and trustful relations between Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Speaking of the necessity of expansion of bilateral trade, the participants of the meeting discussed opportunities of increment of export of production made in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan including textile, silk, oil and gas, chemical industry production. Partnership in supply of agricultural equipment and vehicles, cooperation between business circles of two countries were among the subjects of discussion. Having noted the importance of Intergovernmental Turkmen – Uzbek commission for trade and economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, the sides spoke for diversification taking into account the requirements and existing potential of neighbouring states. In this regard, opportunities of realization of major joint infrastructural projects have been reviewed in details.
