A videoconference meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan focused on the implementation of the project of the International Trade Center “Central Asia: Readiness for Trade - Support for Intraregional and International Trade in Central Asia”, funded by the European Union. The representatives of relevant ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, including the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, the Central Bank, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, as well as international ITC experts took part in the meeting. The meeting participants exchanged views on the key components of the above-mentioned project, aimed at strengthening national potential in the field of trade, developing competitiveness and adopting new trading strategies, in particular for small and medium-sized businesses. The meeting participants called for the development of an action plan for its implementation. Discussing the threats and challenges of the economic situation in the region and around the world, the parties considered joint ways for its successful resolution and underlined the importance of the further development of economic integration.
