Main directions of Turkmenistan – EU dialog have been discussed during online meeting with special representatives of European Union for Central Asia Peter Burian organized by the Foreign Ministry. Special attention has been focused on goals and objectives of new EU Strategy for Central Asia, which provides intensification of bilateral and multilateral partnership for security as well as in trade and economic, transport and energy fields. Having stated with delight positive dynamics of development of relations between Turkmenistan and European Union, which is visually indicated by dozens of joint projects and programmes in educational, environment protection, economic, support of provate sector and agricultural spheres, the sides confirmed mutual intent to extend established productive relations. Peter Burian highlighted that Europe welcomes constructive policy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his important international initiatives aimed at activation of beneficial cooperation in various directions. During interested exchange of opinions, participants of online meeting expressed confidence that organization of similar consultations and meetings on systematic base would support further intensification of versatile relations between our country and the states of European Union.
