Video conference with participation of experts of the WHO European Regional Bureau and representatives of the Ministry of Health Protection and Medical Industry of the country was held in the UN Representative Office on Ashgabat. The main goal of online meeting is to discuss development of new strategy for non-infectious diseases in Turkmenistan in 2021 – 2030, to share experience and to define current directions for further consolidation of efforts in solution of set objectives. It was highlighted in the evaluation of international experts that Turkmenistan works successfully for implementation of national programmes in health protection sphere and Turkmen model, which is based on improvement of medical service of the population, involvement of Turkmenistan citizens to healthy life style and giving up bad habits, has been formed up. Experience of Turkmenistan in implementation of the health protection programmes has been recognized by the WHO as exemplary one and recommended to other countries for use. Some aspects of joint activity for prevention and combating of the most common non-infectious diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and other were other subjects of conversation. Necessity of equal access to innovative technologies, relative medical and laboratory data on national and regional level has also been noted. Expert of the ERB highlighted that from its side, the World Health Organization is willing to present its developments in this important to Turkmenistan.
