The Foreign Ministry hosted online meeting of co-chairmen of Turkmen – Japanese Committee for economic cooperation where expansion of interstate relations has been discussed. It was highlighted that both sides pay special importance to regular joint sessions of the Committee, business meetings and forums, which allow finding key vectors of partnership taking into account long-term perspective. At the same time, special focus was made on the fact that goodwill and mutual interest supported by specific proposals are the platforms for further activation of established productive contacts. Sharing the views on practical implementation of bilateral agreements reached at previous session, presence of wide opportunities was noted in the context of large-scale programmes of modernization and intensive development of national economy, its industrial sector, especially gas processing and petrochemical industries. Projects planned to be implemented and under realization in our country with participation of leading Japanese companies have been reviewed during the session. Such spheres as transport, power energy, agriculture, health protection, communications, tourism and ecology have been noted as perspective for consolidation of efforts and interests. With regard to transit of Turkmen economy to digital systems, the sphere of high technologies has been named among priority directions of partnership. Training of personnel including by organization of practical training and exchange of practice for personnel of different spheres were recognized as current vector of interstate dialog.
