Session dedicated to the foundation of Türkmen alabaý itleri Association has been held in Turkmen Agricultural University. Heads and representatives number of ministries , public organizations, professors and teachers of the university, skilled dog handlers and other specialists took part in the event. Organizational issues of establishment of the Association, approval of the Chapter, election of the manager and members of administration and control and revision commission of the organization have been brought to discussion. Participants noted important role of book of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Turkmen alabay” in popularization of this breed of dogs as a part of cultural heritage of our nation. The work of the Head of the State presents compiled analogy of historical and archive data and long studies of origin and development of alabay breed. Establishment of profile association will support to succession of the best traiditons of national schools of dog breeding in the context of objectives for breeding and accounting of alabays on systematic base, application of methods of national selection and modern scientific achievements. In this aspect, the importance of activity of complex of buildings of Türkmen alabaý itleri Business Association – the first similar facilities in the country opened in September 2019 where legendary breed of Turkmen alabays is carried out on professional level, was highlighted. Documents on establishment of Türkmen alabaý itleri Association have been adopted, other points of the agenda, on which relative decisions have been taken, have been discussed at the session. Candidacy of Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who was elected by the outcomes of voting to the position of the head of the Association, has been suggested. After, the floor was given to new head of the Association who expressed gratitude for trust and spoke of his vision of coming work of new association, its goals and plans. Big attention that the Head of the State pays to protection and improvement of the breed and its popularization in the world has been highlighted. It was noted that alabays are one of the oldest breeds of dogs and this is proven by numerous archaeological findings. Being loyal companions of Turkmens throughout the centuries, not only assistants, guards and defenders but also friends and associates, the alabays showed courage and selfless loyalty. The interest in alabay has significantly gown in the world in the last years. The alabays owe growing popularity due to effective appearance. These are big and physically strong dogs. They are reliable, friendly and obeying. These dogs deservingly occupied leading positions among watchdogs in many countries. Protection and development of characteristics of alabays are the objectives of new Association. Following ancient traditions of formation of this bred will held to strengthen its best characteristics.
