The online meeting with the representatives of the United Nations specialized agency - the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) held at the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan focused on the main areas of cooperation. One of the main topics of discussions was the participation of enterprises and organizations of our country, specialized in the sphere of tourism and information and communication technologies, in the international contest ""Healing Solutions Tourism Challenge"", held by the UNWTO with the support of the World Health Organization. The contest is a global call to mitigate Covid-19 impacts on tourism through health, economic and destination management solutions. The most viable and ready-to-implement solutions will be included into a digital booklet - to reach 150+ ministers and forward information from the best providers for tourism recovery, a business presentation to share the most interesting solutions as well as will be connected to the UNWTO Innovation Network that will provide access to tourism-related startups, corporations, public institutions, education institutions, and investors. It was noted that much attention was paid in Turkmenistan to the formation of a modern tourism infrastructure, the introduction of advanced technologies and the digital system used today in the sanatorium and resort sector, the hotel business and tourism-related areas that opens up wide opportunities for long-term cooperation in this segment of the economy. The participants in online meeting discussed proposals for enhancing partnerships with the World Tourism Organization and expanding international ties in the sphere of tourism.
