Let me extend my congratulations on the 75th anniversary of the Victory in 1941 – 1945 Great Patriotic War – the holiday, which fills heart of people with the feeling of unlimited pride! Won by cost of lives, bravery and fearlessness of millions of people, this sacred Victory has become and embodiment of peace and humanity, friendship and solidarity, - congratulation message of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the people of Turkmenistan says. Hard times and losses of 1941 – 1945 endured by people, which entered into the history as the most tragic years, have left lasting injuries in the hearts of everyone. Millions of people have become victims of merciless policy of fascism in this scary war, which lasted 1,418 days. Families were left without parents, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters. The world economy, human culture, development of science and education received irreplaceable loss. Strive for Great Victory united Turkmen nations with fraternal people in cruel combat against the enemy. Decades have passed since those days, but event today, hard memories and suffer of those years live in the memory of all nations participating in war. Thousands of our countrymen together with other nations who had to go through hard ordeals of war, have demonstrated unparalleled examples of bravery and courage, true patriotism and high spirit on the battle fields in their strive to peace. Their combat bravery and relentless courage have been written with golden letters to the history of our Motherland, - the message highlights. Population of Turkmenistan left in the rear front, which is elders and young women, teenagers, were working tirelessly days and night producing wheat and cotton and receiving good yields. Sending necessary production to the front, clothes and food, they made significant contribution to the future Victory. Having submitted 7,302 kilogrammes of gold and silver jewellery to the Defence Fund, Turkmenistan citizens demonstrated sample of high humanity. Out national tradition to pay sacred tribute to those who were lost. We pay tribute to the capital memorial complex Halk hakydasy – People’s Memory, hundreds of monument of war heroes in cities and villages of the country, keep memory of rare front personnel – our compatriots, who brought the Victory closer with their selfless work in those hard days. Heroism and courage of our brave fellow countrymen will live in the hearts of thankful successors forever, - the message says. The message of the President says that the government policy of Turkmenistan is based on interests of people and every citizen. Reforms in our country are aimed at gradual improvement of social and living level of the citizens, provision of political, economic and cultural prosperity. The government takes great care of each citizen of the country, war and work veterans solving their living needs, providing with quality medical service. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War and widows of participants of war as well as rare front personnel were awarded with medal of 75th anniversary of the Victory in 1941 – 1945 Great Patriotic War on the threshold of the holiday. “Elders, who fought for our peaceful and free life, our heroes, who went through the crucible of war, are our pride and glory!” – President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlights.
