President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation. The Russian leader cordially congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his birthday and wished him good health, prosperity and further success in his versatile activities. As noted, Russia highly appreciates the efforts taken by the President of Turkmenistan to strengthen traditional cooperation between the two states. Expressing gratitude for congratulations and good wishes, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan sincerely valued the friendly relations with the Russian Federation, which are filled with new content with every passing year due to the mutual commitment of the countries to expand fruitful relations. Our countries are united by long-standing good neighborly ties and a historical community, which have formed a solid basis for interstate dialogue at the present stage. In the course of the conversation, it was noted that the high level of mutual understanding and trust established between Turkmenistan and Russia created favorable conditions for the further development of strategic partnership built on the basis of mutual interests. In this regard, the constructive nature of bilateral cooperation in the political sphere, including within the framework of authoritative international organizations, and above all, the UN, where our states provide mutual support to each other, was emphasized. It was emphasized that on all issues of bilateral cooperation, Turkmenistan and Russia find a common denominator that vividly testifies to the constructiveness of the interstate dialogue, the availability of favorable prospects and opportunities for building up mutually beneficial partnership in various areas. During the conversation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also wished President Vladimir Putin the successful organization of all-Russian vote on constitutional amendments, the results of which will undoubtedly serve as a guarantee of further dynamic social and economic development of the friendly country. At the end of the telephone conversation, the heads of the two states exchanged best wishes to each other and the peoples of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
