President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a telephone conversation. The leader of the friendly country cordially congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his 63rd anniversary, the date revered in the Islamic world as the age of the Prophet Muhammad, and wished the Turkmen leader good health, prosperity and new successes in his versatile activity. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan noted that under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the authority of Turkmenistan in the region and in the world as one of the most powerful states in Asia had been steadily increasing and strengthening, and the successful policy of neutrality served the interests of regional stability and development, as well as global peace. As emphasized, Turkey always supported the constructive initiatives put forward by the Turkmen leader. Thanking the President of the Republic of Turkey for congratulations, the President of Turkmenistan noted with satisfaction that relations between our countries and peoples, connected by common historical roots, cultural traditions and spiritual and moral values, were of a long-term strategic nature. Highly evaluating the Turkmen-Turkish dialogue, which has acquired a new quality and content in the modern historical era, the parties discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, taking into account the agreements reached earlier. Touching upon the dialogue within the framework of international organizations, which is developing successfully on the basis of the principles of mutual trust and mutual respect, the Turkmen leader thanked his Turkish counterpart for the continued support of Turkmenistan’s international initiatives, especially in ensuring peace and security. During the conversation, the Presidents of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey also exchanged views on key issues of international and regional policy. In conclusion, the leaders of the two states expressed confidence that the Turkmen-Turkish cooperation would develop successfully for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
