President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone of conversation with Governor of Saint Petersburg (Russian Federation) Alexander Beglov. The Head of one of the main centres of Russia congratulated Turkmen leader on his birthday, having sincerely wished him strong health, long and happy life, new impressive success in realization of large-scale programmes of the state development. Having expressed gratitude for good words and wishes, the Head of Turkmenistan highlighted that establishment of direct contacts with big centres, cities and leading industrial and cultural centres of Russian Federation is one of the main direction of Turkmen – Russian cooperation, which has strategic character. Having confirmed the interest of Saint Petersburg in promotion of productive dialog, which has become an integral part of interstate relations in the last years, A. Beglov noted that he recollect his visit to Turkmenistan in February this year with special warmth. Having expressed sincere delight with beauty and developed infrastructure of white-marble Ashgabat, which has proper conditions for comfortable life and stay of people, the Governor of Saint Petersburg highlighted that everybody have to learn rational and wise management of city from Turkmens. Turkmenistan always welcomes and is happy to see good friends and reliable partners proven by times, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, having continued that comprehensive strengthening of beneficial cooperation is the main vector of foreign strategy, which is implemented in the interest of peace and stable development. During the conversation, which was held in friendly atmosphere, the substantial exchange of views on current situation and priorities of development of bilateral cooperation, which has big perspectives taking into consideration existing mutual interest that is proven by significant potential and positive practice of joint work under number of major projects, took place. Expressing gratitude to the Government of Turkmenistan and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov personally for support provided to the companies from Saint Petersburg working in the country, Governor A. Beglov confirmed the willingness of business circles from his city to continue taking active part in grandiose reformation programmes organized by Turkmen leader.
