The online meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani focused on the priorities of the interstate dialogue. During the consultations, the two countries emphasized the commitment to the established constructive dialogue, which is also successfully developing in a multilateral format, within the framework of authoritative international organizations. At the same time, the importance of top-level meetings to bring the Turkmen-Bahraini cooperation up to qualitatively new level was emphasized. Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain are dynamically developing states with natural resources and a favorable geographical location that open up wide opportunities for productive cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, stimulating investment activity, where the business structures of the both countries play an active role. The fuel and energy, transport and communications sectors, and a number of other industries rank among the key areas to develop cooperation. Humanitarian dialogue stands as an integral component of the interstate relations. Turkmenistan and Bahrain have a rich historical and cultural heritage, and the intensification of traditional ties in this area is a significant factor in strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two peoples, mutual enrichment of cultures. It was underlined that the two countries demonstrate similarity of positions on relevant aspects of regional and global issues, which, first of all, concerns peace, security and sustainable development. The participants in the online meeting also called for strengthening contacts between the ministries of foreign affairs and continuing the practice of regular inter-MFA consultations, which provide an opportunity for a constructive exchange of views on key issues of bilateral relations, built on the principles of mutual respect and trust.
