The amount of week’s transactions exceeded US $68 million

Last week, 36 transactions were registered at the State Commodities and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan. Business people of Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and Afghanistan made the deals in the foreign currency for purchasing the jet kerosene, motor gasoline, and technical sulfur produced at the Turkmenbashi Refinery Complex. Representatives of business circles of Russia and China contracted technical carbon and technical iodine (SC “Turkmenhimiya”). In addition, foreign currency contracts were concluded for wheat, cottonseed oil, cotton yarn, licorice extract. The countries-buyers were: Great Britain, Switzerland, Turkey, Serbia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and others. The total amount of transactions exceeded US $68,106 thousand US. For manat funds, representatives of business circles of the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Slovakia purchased cotton yarn, cottonseed oil, regenerated fiber, and cotton waste (over12 million manat). Domestic entrepreneurs contracted “Turkmenaglomerat” substandard polypropylene (TRC) to the total amount of more than 77,000 manat.
