Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan G. Mammedova takes part in the 5th World Conference of Speakers of Parliaments. The forum, organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union in cooperation with the Austrian Parliament and the United Nations, is held in video format with the participation of more than 200 parliamentarians from around the world. The agenda of the World Conference is parliamentary leadership for a more effective multilateralism that brings peace and sustainable development to the people and the planet. The meeting participants, including parliamentarians, representatives of the United Nations and international experts, discuss important issues on the international agenda, in particular, the overall fight against the pandemic, global governance, and climate change. Fulfilling its international obligations, including on improving the country's legislation, Turkmenistan stands for solidarity and strengthening cooperation on all the most important tasks of our time.
