Video conference of the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and Georgia has been held yesterday. Ley issues of bilateral agenda have been discussed and high level of political and diplomatic dialog between two countries has been highlighted at the talks. It has been mentioned that Turkmenistan and Georgia works successfully together under international organizations, particularly under the United Nations. The sides have stated the necessity of continuation of consultation between foreign ministries and other departments. The ministers have reviewed the subjects of cooperation in development of joint transport and transit corridors, to expansion of which President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pays special attention. Special mention has been made of the activation of the project of international transport corridor Caspian Sea – Black Sea including normative and legal part. Significance of Lapis Lazuli project has also been highlighted in the context of expansion of interregional trade and economic cooperation. The importance of uninterrupted traffic and supplies by efficient use of roads and seaports has been noted. In this regard, the necessity of regular session of Intergovernmental Turkmen – Georgian Commission for economic cooperation has been mentioned. Opportunities to activate humanitarian cooperation have also been discussed at video conference session.
