Speaking at the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the favorable geographic location of our country opened up wide opportunities for creating a competitive transport macrostructure. Currently, sea, road, rail, air and pipeline international logistics projects are implemented. The agreements reached on the transport corridors Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Oman and Afghanistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey will contribute to enhancing cooperation within the regions and the continent. The President of Turkmenistan expressed belief that the existing Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline, as well as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline under construction would serve as an integral link in pipeline logistics. “The modern highways, including the Ashgabat-Karakum-Dashoguz, Turkmenbashi-Ashgabat-Farab roads, are very important in the development of road transport logistics. These roads will contribute to the effective use of the enormous economic potential of our country and other states of the region”, the Turkmen leader emphasized.
