Priorities of Turkmen – Afghan dialog are discussed

Vice-premier, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov have had a vieo conference meeting with Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Hanif Atmar. High level of interstate dialog, which is based on friendship and good neighborliness, has been states at the talks. The sides has discussed aspects of cooperation in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. In particular, successful promotion of multidimensional transport and energy projects initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov including the construction of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India gas line, railroad, power and fiber optic lines, has been noted. The representative of Afghanistan has focused on important role of our country in support of peaceful process in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. In this context, the significance of the policy of positive neutrality of Turkmenistan has been highlighted. During online meeting, the sides have also shared the visions of number of issues of international agenda and expressed mutual intent to strengthen cooperation in combating global challenges.
