The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a briefing on cooperation of Turkmenistan with international organizations in healthcare sphere. The meeting was attended by the heads of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the State Medical University, as well as the heads of representative offices of international organizations accredited in the country, including the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), WHO and the European Union. Those speaking during the meeting emphasized that protection of public health ranked among the priorities of the socially oriented policy, pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Due to the success of the health development strategy, complete immunization of the population, primarily children, Turkmenistan has completely or partially eliminated many types of diseases most common in the region. Thus, a number of infectious diseases have been eliminated in our country, including dracunculiasis, poliomyelitis, malaria, measles and rubella that is confirmed by the relevant international certificates. As emphasized, vaccines and other immune agents that are of great importance in the prevention of diseases are regularly delivered to the country with the assistance of UNICEF. The ceremony of signing the 2021-2025 Plan for the Procurement of Vaccines and Immunization Equipment within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and UNICEF on the provision of procurement services, signed on August 28, 2015 took place in conclusion of the meeting,
