The meeting with Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden Mrs Ann Linde has been held in video conference format in the foreign department of the country. Diplomats have discussed wide range of bilateral matters and shared the views on regional and international agenda during the session. The Foreign Ministers of two friendly countries have expressed mutual interest in intensification of the contacts in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres as well as the contacts under new European Strategy for Central Asia, which has promising potential for joint implementation. During the conversation, the sides have also focused on the necessity of activation of cooperation under regional and international structures, in particular under the UN and OSCE. Perspectives of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Sweden during the chairmanship of the latter in the OSCE in 2021have also been discussed. The commitment of Turkmen side to establish the dialog in all directions, which present mutual interest, has been highlighted in the context of successful open door policy pursed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In this aspect, the importance of joint efforts of both countries in countering current pandemic situation has been noted. Intensification of the relations in the sphere of law supremacy, gender equality, human rights, education and science, high technologies and innovations has been also reviewed.
