Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Central Asian states, including Turkmenistan, the People's Republic of China and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan took place in the videoconference meeting ""Central Asia + the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan + the People's Republic of China"" on December 9. The meeting participants discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation in the political and diplomatic line, as well as in the field of trade and economic relations. The meeting participants sincerely congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Turkmen people on the 25th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan specified the important tasks in the current situation. Among them are the preservation and further development of trade and economic ties, new growth points for trade and economic cooperation in the post-pandemic period. Moreover, the issues of cooperation in the transport and communication sphere were discussed. In this regard, the Turkmen side proposed to intensify cooperation in this area. This is the creation of a single logistics center, the technological development of cargo dispatch and receipt points, the implementation of a single tariff policy for transportation of goods along existing corridors, and the simplification of customs procedures. The parties emphasized the similarity of positions on promoting international mechanisms aimed at maintaining peace, stability and security at the regional and global levels. It was emphasized the importance to settle the situation in Afghanistan.
