Final round of art contest «Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy» (Star of the Year) has been held in the capital. The contest between young pop singers is intended to stimulate professional growth of the artists and support the development of modern musical culture of Turkmenistan, finding and promotion of talents, especially from rural areas. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov call for this seeing happy future of the Motherland in inspired younger generation. Organized by the Central Council of Magtumguly Youth Organization, Ministry of Culture and State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography, the contest includes qualification rounds on regional level. The competent jury has selected the most perspective candidates who are distinguished with vocal and artistic gifts from all aspirants. Further, the round, which results depend directly on the audience, has started. Young singers were given opportunity to perform in front of wide audience on «Türkmen owazy» TV and radio channel. During this time, TV spectators and radio audience had an opportunity to assess the talents of young singers by their performance and give their voices for the performer they have liked by sms and phone calls. The extent of the action and involvement of wide audience provided participation of the brightest representatives of pop music in the final round. Ten of them have been selected for participation in the final tour. The finalists tried to demonstrate their abilities and talents performing on brightly decorated scene in big studio music TV and radio channel. According to the rules of the contest, the competitors performed two song, one of which had to be without music accompaniment, in order for professional would be able to judge the voice of the participants. This round allowed highlighting individual artistic performance of young singers and their ability to make contact with audience. The music contest has lasted for several hours, during which the voting was continued. After calculation of voices, the masters of ceremony have announced the results of the contest. Young talented singer Leyli Okdirova, who was taking confident lead throughout the contest, has won this art marathon and the title of the Star of the Year. It was not only the audience but also a jury, who gave her the most of their voices. The winner has received a challenge cup of «Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy» and the encouragement award. Wishes of artistic growth, search and success from the recognized masters of Turkmen music scene and national art were a good advice to young artist. The speakers made special mention that today, young Turkmenistan citizens have all opportunities and conditions for implementation of their artistic potential and revealing of their abilities owing to special attention of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
