The event dedicated to 2021 slogan “Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust” has been held in the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center on January 11. Turkmen state has entered New Year of the epoch of might and happiness, which is marked with the 30th anniversary of the Motherland’s independence. The current event has also been held marked by this celebration. Literary and musical composition «Parahatçylygy we ynanyşmagy dünýä ýaýan Gahryman Arkadag!», which was passionately performed by the artists of the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashy Main Drama Theatre and A. S. Pushkin State Russian Drama Theatre, was an artistic expression of the gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The composition, which was warmly welcomed by the spectators, has reflected the depth of love and respect of Turkmen people to the Leader of the Nation, owing to whom independent neutral Turkmenistan has become an economically powerful state and received strong international authority. The event in the Mukams Palace has been held with participation of the members of the Governments, officials of the Ministry of Culture, profile departments and mass media, directors of universities, art masters and cultural personnel. The participants noted that the slogan of 2021 unites important constants of modern development of our state – strive for the progress and universal peace, commitment to national historical and cultural values. The 2021 slogan reflects the concept of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for social and economic progress of the country in the context of the Sustainable development goals and peace-making position of permanently neutral Turkmenistan, which is a reliable partner in solution of the main objectives of international cooperation. It was mentioned that the subject of the year is related to the global initiatives proposed by Turkmen leader, which is brightly indicated by the fact that the UN General Assembly has unanimously adopted the Resolution on declaration of 2021 as International Year of Peace and Trust in co-authorship with 73 state members. The participants highlighted that the 2021 slogan is in line with Turkmens’ mentality, their historical and cultural traditions; it is closely connected with humanitarian principles, which are the foundations of home and foreign policy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, with steadfast development of our creative and peace-making state. In their speeches to the participants of the events, creative people of the country, which are respectfully called ‘halipa, have noted that announcement of the slogan of this year at the expression of the people supports the growth of patriotic spirit and strive of Turkmenistan citizens to be a part of and to make contribution to colossal work carried out in the country under the leadership of the Head of the State. The main slogan of the country contains the idea of succession of the generations and education of the youth in the spirit of unlimited pride, love and respect of the Motherland – independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan, the participants noted. The participants of the event has expressed the confidence that the year of the 30th anniversary of sacred independence would be marked with new achievements in all spheres of life of the state and society. The performance of the artists of the capital’s theatres, folk and popular singers echoed the slogan of 2021 “Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust”. At the end of the event, the soloist and students of Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory have performed a song «Türkmenistan – parahatçylygyň we ynanyşmagyň Watany» as an anthem of beloved independent Motherland – the place of peace, friendship and good faith. The participants of the event have made a gratitude message to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, having expressed deep gratitude for his multifaceted work for happiness of the people and prosperity of the Motherland.
