Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, Dr. Hadi Soleimanpour sent a message to the President of Turkmenistan, expressing gratitude for the participation in the 14th ECO Summit “Regional Economic Cooperation in the aftermath of COVID-19” held on March 4, 2021. 

“I highly appreciate the views and important comments expressed by Your Excellency during the Summit, which, I believe, will guide ECO in its future activities.

“Taking this opportunity, I also want to welcome and congratulate Turkmenistan on the Chairmanship over the ECO in 2021. I believe that, under the chairmanship of Turkmenistan, ECO will take part in meaningful discussions, developing effective strategies and solutions in order to develop regional cooperation. Under the wise leadership of Your Excellency, I look forward to expanding economic cooperation in the interests of welfare and sustainable socio-economic growth in the region in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Izmir Treaty, as well as the development goals set out in the ECO Vision 2025”, ECO Secretary General says in his message.

Hadi Soleimanpour expressed belief that with the support of Turkmenistan and other member states, ECO would continue to move towards achieving regional progress.

Congratulating the Turkmen leader on the upcoming Novruz holiday, the ECO Secretary General wished President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov health and happiness, as well as prosperity to the people of Turkmenistan.
