Chairman of the Central Election and Referendum Commission in Turkmenistan G. Myradov presented identification of member of the People’s Council of National Assembly to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Foundation of fundamentally new two-chamber structure of National Parliament at the initiative of Turkmen leader will directly support to the strengthening of legal bases of development of sovereign Turkmenistan, to enhancement of efficiency of work of the government authorities.

The election, which were held on March 28, were another evidence of the triumph of the principles of democratic development in our country.

Chairman of the Central Election Commission has congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on unanimous election to the members of the People’s Council of National Assembly and presented identification of member of the People’s Council of National Assembly. It was highlighted that this decision has been accepted by all Turkmen citizens with pride.

G. Myradov has noted that first in the history of the country elections of members of the People’s Council of National Assembly have been held on high organizational level. This event, important in social and political life of the Motherland, has become a symbol, of unity and solidarity of our people, promotion of independent neutral Turkmenistan along the way of democratic reforms and large-scale transformations.

The head of the Central Election Committee has expressed gratitude to the President of the country for making conditions for conducting of the elections on proper level.

Having received identification of members of the People’s Council of National Assembly with gratitude, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the elections, which have been held last Sunday, were historical event in social and political life, an exclusively import step in strengthening of democracy of Turkmen state, an assertion of the principles of true people’s power.

High trust given by the electorate, the election to the People’s Council of National Assembly and hand over of temporary identification of members of new chamber of representative body were unforgettable.

It makes me continue working for the prosperity of the Motherland, - President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said. Noting that he receives the identification as a sign of high trust given by Turkmenistan citizens, the head of the state wished his electorate big success in work, happiness and wealth.

Today, special attention is paid in the country to improvement of national legislation, study and implementation of international legal practice. Modern technologies and digital systems are used in election campaigns, the same as in other activities, which is very important for conducting elections on high organizational level.

This campaign has been held based on openness, transparency and democratic principles with active participation of public organizations, entire populations, especially the voters.

Successful conduct of the first in the latest history of Turkmenistan elections of members of the People’s Council of National Assembly, which gave start to new stage in the history of national parliamentarian practice, has become a big achievement of this year, which is held under slogan “Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust”.

Stressing the importance of implementation of constitutional right of the citizens of the country to express their opinion and take part in solution of the issues of the state significance, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to all who took an active part in organized conduct of election campaign and wished members of the Central Election and Referendum Commission of Turkmenistan further success.
