Opening ceremonies of new buildings of the State Commercial Türkmenbaşy Bank and Joint Stock Commercial Senagat Bank have been held in Turkmen capital. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the events on this occasion.

Opening of the facilities of banking sphere, which construction was made according to the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan from February 15, 2018 is timed to remarkable event – the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence.

New bank buildings, which were built by French Bouygues Bâtiment International, were erected along Chandybil Avenue in the southern part of Ashgabat, where business center of Turkmen capital has been formed up in the last years.

The vehicle of the head of Turkmenistan has come to the opening place of the State Commercial Türkmenbaşy Bank. The President was met by the Speaker of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and profile departments, public organizations, mass media and cultural personnel. Performance of the art masters and creative bands have brought special colors to the palette of the event.

Warmly greeting the participants, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to the central entrance to Türkmenbaşy Bank. The moment came and Turkmen leader has cut a symbolical ribbon under applauses of the participants of the ceremony.

Having entered the building of the State Commercial Türkmenbaşy Bank, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov looked around architectural features of new facility of financial sphere.

Total area of the building is more than 17,000 square meters. The ground and first floor of the building have operation room, depositary, cash desks, meeting room, canteen and other various facilities. All services and offices of specialists are also provided with necessary equipment. New building has all conditions for provision of safe keeping of values together with provision of uninterrupted service of the clients.

Full information about achievements of the State Commercial Türkmenbaşy Bank as well as about conditions made for personnel was presented to the head of the state during demonstration.

The building has more than 300 work stations provided with the latest computer hardware. Specialists can provide proper service to 250 clients at the same time.

Having expressed gratitude to Turkmen leader for conditions made for work, one of the employees asked permission to demonstrate the main economic indicators of the bank and services it provides using digital system.

It was mentioned that the following operation are made since the foundation of the State Commercial Türkmenbaşy Bank: attraction of deposits in national and foreign currency, management of securities, granting of mortgage as well as money transfers and payments.

Today, the State Commercial Türkmenbaşy Bank and its 23 branches work all over the country and provide services to more than 600,000 clients offering them wide range of services as well as various credits, credits for development of small and medium entrepreneurship.

Special attention is paid in the activity of the above-mentioned bank to the investment of projects in such spheres as oil and gas complex, transport, communication and construction. The main direction of its credit policy is targeted to support of local producers and improvement of social level of the population’s life.

The bank provides credit support to entrepreneurship projects. It includes the hothouse complex of Ýigit Business Entity, wheat processing complex of Mizan Business Entity, numerous food production facilities. Having taking a loan from the bank, Döwletli – Döwran Business Entity has arranged the production of ceramic bricks and Ak çeşme Business Entity – the production of carpets.

Investments of the State Commercial Türkmenbaşy Bank are used by the government structures as well including oil and gas, transport and communication complexes and other profile departments.

Starting from 2009, having opened correspondent accounts in the leading world banks Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas, Deutsche Bank Frankfurt am Main, the State Commercial Türkmenbaşy Bank made conditions for uninterrupted settlements of export – import trade transactions in foreign currency.

Having joined the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) 13 years ago, the bank has given an opportunity to its clients to make direct payments in foreign currency.

The State Commercial Bank Türkmenbaşy was on the first to establish a system of internal money transfer Ýyldyrym and Western Union international electronic system.

According to the Concept of development digital economy in Turkmenistan in 2019 – 2025 and the State Program of development of digital economy in Turkmenistan in 2021 – 2025, the bank steadily improves its activity.

The head of the state has expressed detailed interest in online services of the bank.

The specialists has informed that introduction of modern technologies allowed improving many banking operation significantly. For example, introduction of internet banking system, which includes full set of banking services, allows clients to manage their accounts and make various payment operation remotely. 

The credit can be requested in online mode, information about accounts can be received, internet payment ca be made after preparation of payment order. In addition, new bank cards can be requested, documents necessary for this operation can be sent in electronic format, the payment for this service can be made by Altyn Asyr bank card online.

The specialist has demonstrated how the clients can pay for utilities through the webpage of the bank. Having opened necessary page, the client has to put user name and enter personal page. Payments for electricity, water, gas and accommodation are presented on this page. 

Banking operation for online deposits including all stages of the operation has also been demonstrated. It was informed that updated version of the service, in other words online reception for electronic applications of the citizens who are willing to apply for a loan and informing of the client about the status of these applications, has been made.

It was mentioned that these bank services raise keen interest of the clients, which is indicated by increment of number of users of Internet-banking and Mobil-banking apps.

Having studied the work of the latest equipment, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that all conditions have been made in the country for efficient activity of financial institutes. The work of banks have to be aimed at implementation of integrated programs, which are to bring national economy to higher levels, which meet its potential.

Having focused on current objectives of the banking sphere of the country, the head of the state highlighted that banks have to concentrate their efforts on strengthening of national currency, optimization of monetary circulation and improvement of efficiency of credit policy.

The President of Turkmenistan pointed out the importance of stable internal monetary circulation, it is necessary to purse monetary and credit policy thoughtfully and improvement financial management, to provide and enhance the efficiency of targeted use of credits for development of the economy, the head of the state said.

Highlighting the necessity of improvement of work of the bank, its digitization, creation of beneficial conditions for clients, availability of banking services for people, the head of the state gave certain assignments to relative officials.

Implementation of modern methods to national banking and financial structures, improvement of professional level of personnel, study of the best world practice in this sphere are important requirements of today, the head of the state said.

On behalf of the personnel of the bank, gratitude has been expressed to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for attention to the development of banking sector and creation of conditions for fruitful work of the specialists of this sphere.

The head of the state has noted the importance of development of national economy, improvement and modernization of banking activity by wide introduction of digital system as well as improvement of quality and expansion of range of services provided to the clients.

Provision of stable exchange rate of manat, increment of volumes of non-cash payments, improvement of banking operations, enhancement of quality and introduction of hew services, regular analysis of the situation taking into account the condition of the world economy, control of targeted use of financial resources, increment of credit volumes of the economy, especially its leading branches, financing of investment projects under the government and profile programs are among the main objectives.

It was noted that it is necessary to take into account current economic situation and perspectives of the state development using innovative approach for improvement of banking activity, especially in definition of important aspects of development of crediting. In this regard, the profile officials received number of instructions.

After, Turkmen leader went to the place of the opening ceremony of new building of Senagat Joint Stock Commercial Bank.

Having greeted the participants, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to the central entrance to the bank and cut symbolical ribbon under applauses of the participants, thus opening new page in the activity of one of the leading commercial banks of the country.

The head of the state went through the main entrance to the first floor of the bank building and inspected architectural features of new office building, which total area is more than 16,000 square meters. The height of the building is 76.5 meters and width is 35.5 meters. The A Block includes administrative, utility and technical premises.

The ground floor of the building accommodates a conference hall for 247 people and other facilities. Offices are located on the 2 – 11 floors. The top floors are occupied by the management offices.

Just like in all modern facilities built in the capital and around the country, it has all conditions for work including comfortable offices for personnel equipped with computers.

The B Block on the first floor has operation room, premises for work with clients and cash desks. The basement of the bank has a storage, canteen, garage for service vehicles.

The building has all life support systems, high-speed elevators. Elements of national décor and relief ornament have been used in interior design. The territory around the bank is developed, trees are planted and gardens are made.

Having proceeded to the premises occupied by the Department of international operation and electronic payments, the President inspected the conditions made for work of specialists and services to the clients.

Further, the head of the state went to operation room where the specialist presented the information about the achievements of the bank and capabilities made for its activity.

As is known Senagat Joint Stock Commercial Bank is one of the leading commercial banks of Turkmenistan. At present time, our country has 13 branches and 1 banking service of this financial institution.

The bank was one of the first to make financial support of small and medium business. Individual entrepreneurs, establishments of all forms of ownership, representatives of joint ventures and foreign companies use its services. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has familiarized himself with some technical aspects of work of the bank.

Sets of anniversary and commemorative coins issued by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan were demonstrated at the exposition.

Finishing inspecting the work of the bank, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of organization of activity of Senagat Joint Stock Commercial Bank according to time requirements and gave special instructions.

In particular, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has focused that the bank has to provide services to all branches of national economy related to industry based on its name.

The industry is available in all spheres – in construction, transport and in other spheres, the head of the state said highlighting that activity in this direction would support successful implementation of the Program of the country’s industrialization until 2030 as well introduction of modern technologies to all spheres of national economy.

The President of Turkmenistan has left a commemorative note in the Book of honored guests.

Having congratulated bank personnel on new building, the head of the state wished them professional success. Having said warm goodbye to the participants of the event, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left the place of event.
