I would like to offer you my heartiest congratulations on successfully meeting your production targets, producing and harvesting more than 310,000 tons of high-quality wheat in fertile Turkmen farmlands throughout the region this year designated as ‘Turkmenistan: the Land of Peace and Trust’! I wish all of you excellent health, family wellbeing, and more success ahead in your noble occupation!

Hardworking Lebap velayat farmers were the first in the country to successfully fulfill their contractual obligations. This remarkable triumph is the result of effective teamwork and inspirational collaboration among tenant farmers, private producers, skillful machine operators, water sector professionals, agricultural scientists, making every effort to develop grain farming, and experienced agricultural workers.

All those working in daikhan associations in the region’s etraps, who are true masters of their craft, have contributed significantly to the rich grain crops grown in the velayat. Wheat farmers from Koitendag, Hojambaz, Charjev and Halach etraps and their productive work deserve special credit. They were among the first producers in the velayat to reach their production targets.

We are carrying out reforms in a steady manner to gradually develop the domestic agricultural sector, to ensure the sustainable use of our land and water resources, to attract a large number of private producers to agriculture, and to improve the production relations. At the same time, we are making heavy investments in the modernization and upgrading of the sector’s facilities, and the widespread adoption of best practices and modern management methods.

Our main aims in the field of agriculture are to boost the production of high-quality agricultural products, to efficiently and rationally use our land and water resources, to raise the farming standards by introducing the latest scientific developments in the agricultural production, to promote food abundance in the country, and to increase our export potential.

The state creates a favourable and supportive environment for the productive and rewarding labor of rural working people, including grain producers. This helps farmers to attain notable success and rise to new heights, to grow bountiful crops on their native land, and to achieve personal prosperity and financial security, enjoying the well-earned fruits of their conscientious labor.

You are working hard, growing high yields of grain, cotton and other agricultural crops in the epoch of power and happiness. Through your noble efforts, the advanced farming practices handed down to us by our ancestors are being enriched with novel methods and modern techniques, and the domestic wheat farming sector has witnessed impressive achievements and heavy crops. The massive and wide-ranging efforts are being made to develop the agricultural sector of our home country, which is steadily advancing towards new heights of progress, to grow excellent crops, to regularly purchase high-capacity agri-machinery ensuring prompt and loss-free harvesting, to keep farmers plentifully supplied with high-quality seeds and mineral fertilizers, to provide crops with sufficient irrigation water and to improve the productivity of farmlands. This all creates ample opportunities for outstanding achievements in the agricultural sector.

We are all delighted that the agricultural industry boasts high production outputs thanks to the extensive farming experience of our ancestors in growing abundant crops, as well as to the widespread introduction of the most recent scientific advances. The fundamental reforms in the sector stimulate the growth of agricultural production and the development of wheat farming, and promote the improvement of the rural population’s living standards.
