Today, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov has arrived in Turkmenistan on an official visit.  

At the capital’s International Airport, adorned with the two countries’ State Flags, the head of the friendly country was welcomed by official dignitaries.  In honor of the eminent guest the Guard of Honor lined up the carpet, leading to the stairway. 

From the airport, the motorcade of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic accompanied by the motorcycle escort of honor proceeded to the guest residence – the Oguzkent Hotel.   

In the afternoon, President Sadyr Japarov headed for Kipchak to pay tribute to the memory of the first President of Turkmenistan, having laid flowers in the Mausoleum and visited the Turkmenbashi Mosque of Spirituality. 

On his return to the capital, the high guest laid flowers at the Monument of Independence of Turkmenistan.  Following the well-established tradition, the head of the Kyrgyz Republic planted a young tree on the Honorary Guests Alley as a symbol of unbreakable friendship between the two countries and nations.

After that, President Sadyr Japarov proceeded to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to visit the exhibition of export goods of Turkmenistan and to attend the Turkmen-Kyrgyz Economic Forum. 

The high-ranking guests evinced a special interest in the impressively large architectural model of the Ashgabat City Complex whose groundbreaking ceremony was held in May. 

After the get-acquainted tour of the exhibition of export goods of Turkmenistan, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov and members of the representative delegation participated in the Turkmen-Kyrgyz Economic Forum. The business meeting focused on a broad range of issues relating to the realization of the two countries’ trade-economic, export and investment potential. 

The forum participants were shown a video film about the achievements of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas industry, its main departments and enterprises specializing in oil and gas exploration, development, production, transportation, etc.  

The business meeting culminated in the signing of bilateral documents between members of the Unions of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan in an online format. The agreements, which added to the legal framework governing the traditionally friendly interstate relations, are aimed to raise the cooperation between our countries to a qualitatively new level.
