Today President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty in which priority goals put before the given structure have been designated, and also a number of corresponding organizational issues were considered.

In the morning, the leader of the nation arrived in the central office of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh's building.

Opening the meeting and addressing members of the Khalk Maslakhaty, the head of the state noted that on September 27 of this year, which bears the motto «Turkmenistan – Homeland of peace and trust», the 30^th anniversary of sacred independence of sovereign neutral Fatherland was solemnly celebrated. For our people this significant date has a special value, filling us with the feeling of sincere pride and inspiring into achievement of new high purposes.

Passing to the meeting’s agenda, the head of the state pointed out that today it is necessary to consider a number of organizational issues. As known, on March 28, 2021 in the life of our country, there was a sign event - elections of members of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan took place. Those events that were held according to democratic standards, at high organizational level, in the conditions of publicity and openness, differed radically from former election campaigns as for the first time they were held in the form of indirect elections.

Further, addressing participants of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov marked that, as known, chairman of the Committee on protection of human rights and freedoms of the Khalk Maslakhaty M.Taganov was appointed to the post of minister of justice of Turkmenistan. In this connection, the leader of the nation put the point of election of the new head of the given Committee on the agenda of the meeting.

By the proposal of members of the Khalk Maslakhaty to this post, the nominee of deputy chairwoman of the above-named Committee D.Gulmanova was put forward. Following the results of the voting she was elected chairman of the Committee on protection of human rights and freedoms of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh. Proceeding from this D.Gulmanova was released from the post of deputy chairwoman of the given Committee.

Then the issue on election of the new deputy chairman of the Committee protection of human rights and freedoms was considered. To this post, the nominee of member of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh S.Jumayev was offered. By results of the voting, he also was elected to this post.

Corresponding resolutions of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan on these issues were adopted.

Then the floor was given to deputy chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh K.Babaev who especially noted that thanks to unprecedented efforts of the leader of the nation, our neutral Native land, this year celebrating the 30^th anniversary of independence, confidently goes forward on the selected way of creation and progress.

As was underlined, in our dynamically developing state providing social protection of each citizen, optimum possibilities for fruitful work and comfortable rest of people, education of the youth, mastering by it the chosen trades are created.

Having assured that members of the Khalk Maslakhaty will henceforth, apply all forces to work over preparation and acceptance of the laws promoting steady realisation of programs of all-around development of Fatherland, far-sighted internal and foreign policy of the President of Turkmenistan, speakers wished the head of the state sound health and new outstanding successes in his large scale activity for the benefit of our Native land and people.

Summing up the meeting, the leader of the nation expressed confidence that members of the Khalk Maslakhaty will bring a worthy contribution to legislation of the prosperous epoch of the powerful state.

Finishing the meeting, President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov wished its participants successes in their responsible activity and left the venue.
