Today, the telephone conversation has taken place between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of Kyrgyzstan sincerely congratulated the leader of the nation with the successful snap presidential elections held on a wide alternative basis, which visually demonstrated adherence of Turkmenistan to further democratization of Turkmen society.

Having warmly greeted the head of the friendly country and having expressed his sincerely acknowledgment for kind words, the head of the state informed that according to the outcome of the Presidential elections of March 12, announced by the Central elections committee, Serdar Berdimuhamedov has been elected new President of Turkmenistan.

At that, the leader of the nation pointed out that he intends to continue actively his political work, but in a new capacity, as Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.

Availing of the opportunity, the head of the state thanked his Kyrgyz colleague for his great personal contribution to the development of bilateral relations and established fruitful cooperation between two countries.

In his turn, President Sadyr Japarov underlined that in Kyrgyzstan people know well and respect President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as a wise politician who has devoted his life to the development of the brotherly country and strengthening of its authority on the international arena.

Speaking of it, the Kyrgyz leader underlined a great personal contribution of the head of Turkmenistan to the strengthening of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation with close neighbours in Central Asia, wishing the head of Turkmenistan great successes in a new career.

Having stated the high level of trust and mutual understating typical invariably of the Turkmen-Kyrgyz dialogue based on age-old traditions of goodly neighbourhood, historical and cultural similarities of brotherly peoples with satisfaction, the interlocutors confirmed presence of favourable perspectives to strengthen and further develop constructive partnership in all spheres for the befit of two countries.

Having wished the President of the Kyrgyz Republic sound health, long life and great success in all his undertakings, the leader of the nation passed the receiver to newly elected President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Availing of the opportunity, President Sadyr Japarov congratulated his new colleague with his election to the highest state post and wished him sound health and great successes in his responsible activity. We are sure that realization of joint plans, aimed at expansion of traditional Turkmen-Kyrgyz political and economic relations, which meet common interest, will be further continued, the head of Kyrgyzstan said.

Having sincerely thanked for his congratulation and kind wishes, Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that he intends to continue the policy started by the previous President of the country aimed at further development of cooperation with brotherly Kyrgyzstan with which good traditions of friendship and good neighbourhood, which meet long-term mutual interest of our peoples and countries, have been established.
