Today, in the complex of the International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri», celebrations were held in honour of the holiday of the turkmen alabay, within the framework of which the ceremony of awarding the winners of the «Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy» contest and a thematic competition among representatives of creative professions was held.

Alabay holiday is the youngest in the national calendar of Turkmenistan. In 2021, it was first celebrated together with the national holiday of the Ahal-Teke horse, and this year, according to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, it is celebrated for the first time as a separate celebration.

The content richness of events dedicated to the famous breed of dogs is so diverse that the celebration was not limited to one day, stretching for a whole week. Scientific and practical conferences were held in Ashgabat and the regions of the country, dedicated to the actual problems of dog breeding, exhibitions and creative competitions on the artistic display of the beauty of alabays in works of fine and decorative art, musical performances and other cultural events that contribute to the increase in the world fame of this breed, development and improvement of domestic dog breeding.

The culmination of the festive celebrations in honour of the turkmen alabay were the events organized today in the complex of the International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri».

There is also an exhibition of museum exhibits, fine, arts and crafts and photographic art dedicated to the image of the turkmen alabay .

It's time to take stock of the competition and announce the decision of the authoritative panel of judges. The title of «Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy» was awarded to an alabay named Gonurhan, belonging to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan and trained for the competition by instructor Y.Torayev. Alabay keeper is a soldier G.Ashyrov.

The winner was awarded the main prize of the President of Turkmenistan - the keys to a «Toyota Camry» car, as well as a special medal, a challenge cup and a diploma.

Then the winners of the creative competition for the artistic embodiment of the image of turkmen alabays in works of fine and decorative art, printed materials, photographs, on TV channels, announced among artists, sculptors, carpet weavers, photographers, publishing house workers, cameramen were announced.

Relevant certificates and valuable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan were presented to the following winners:

Gulberdiyev Amanmyrat - the artist of the Ashgabat enterprise of art carpet weaving for the carpet work «Türkmen alabaýy»;

Jumayev Myratberdi - 5th year student of the Faculty of «Fine Arts» of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan for the painting «Türkmen alabaýy»;

Jumayev Serdar - 3rd year student of the Faculty of «Fine Arts» of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan for the sculpture «Edermen türkmen alabaýy»;

Gutlyyev Ashyrgeldi - 2nd year student of the specialty «carpet art» of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan for the publishing work «Türkmen alabaýlary kalendary»;

Garyagdyyev Shohrat - lieutenant colonel, officer of the department for work with television and radio channels of the State Border Service of Turkmenistan for the video «Türkmen alabaýy».he final part of the celebrations was the performances of popular performers who expressed in musical compositions the high feelings of pride and happiness experienced by the people of Turkmenistan.
