Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has received Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council Eric Stewart, CEO of “Nicklaus Companies” John Reese, Founder and Chairman of “UGT Renewables” Goran Raisic, and CEO of “Climate Compass” Kevin James.

Expressing sincere gratitude to the head of state for finding time and giving the opportunity to discuss priority issues of bilateral cooperation, the guests who arrived in our country to participate in the next Turkmen-American business forum confirmed the US business community’s interest in expanding productive relations with Turkmenistan, where a favorable investment climate has been created.

Having greeted the representatives of American business, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked them for their interest in cooperation with our country and their desire to work in the Turkmen market. Noting with satisfaction the solid membership of the friendly state’s delegation, the President of Turkmenistan wished them success in the holding of the joint business forum, which is expected to contribute to the practical implementation of the existing impressive potential of partnership in various fields.

During the exchange of views on promising areas of cooperation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and his guests expressed confidence that the bilateral meetings and negotiations planned as part of the forum would give a new impetus to further effective relations aimed at achieving concrete goals. At the same time, it was noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the United States. All these years, the constructive interstate dialogue has been developing progressively.

Today, our countries are demonstrating their intention to build up mutually beneficial cooperation, including by focusing on such areas as trade, investment and expanding business contacts. In this regard, emphasizing the significant role of the joint Business Council, the head of state thanked its Executive Director Eric Stewart for many years of his fruitful activity, reaffirming the readiness of Turkmenistan to continue to take an active part in the work of this Council.

It was also noted that a productive partnership was established between Turkmenistan and “Nicklaus Companies”, which has carried out a unique project of a Golf Club in Ashgabat based on the best world experience.

“Green: energy was specified as one of the topical areas of cooperation, where Turkmenistan takes a proactive position and fully supports the initiatives of the international community, attaching special importance to projects aimed at protecting the environment. In this context, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov welcomed the accession to the Business Council of “UGT Renewables”, a company specializing in the field of renewable energy sources. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also highlighted that, taking into account the company’s extensive experience in the field of solar energy, our country is open for effective cooperation.

As the head of state emphasized, large-scale infrastructure projects in the oil and gas industry are carried out in Turkmenistan, which has rich hydrocarbon resources and is consistently implementing the strategy of diversifying energy supplies to world markets. This also provides favorable opportunities for establishing Turkmen-American cooperation, including with “Climate Compass”.

Expressing their gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the informative and substantive conversation, the businessmen reaffirmed the adherence of the US business community to strengthening their positions in the promising Turkmen market, and participating in the implementation of new joint projects.

Welcoming this intention of the American partners, the head of state stressed that Turkmenistan, which is pursuing the economic policy focused on the active introduction of innovations, attracting the best world experience and advanced technologies, is always open for a constructive partnership.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and representatives of the US business community expressed confidence in the further successful development of bilateral cooperation on an equal, mutually beneficial and long-term basis.
