Today, in accordance with the schedule approved by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on March 17, farmers of the Dashoguz velayat started sowing cotton. Taking into account the soil and climatic conditions, the sowing campaign here started a little later than in other regions of the country.

According to a good tradition, the beginning of work was blessed by the venerable elders. Having raised a prayer to the Almighty for the well-being and prosperity of the Motherland, the Turkmen people, the head of state, they threw the first cotton seeds into the ground, and then gave way to machine operators.

It should be noted that the potential of the country's agricultural sector is constantly growing due to the implementation of cardinal reforms in this area, the important aspects of which are the creation of a modern production and service infrastructure for agriculture, the rational use of land and water resources, and improving the state of agriculture.

In the northern region, farmers mainly grow such medium-fiber varieties of "white gold" as "Daşoguz-120", "Daşoguz-114", "Gubadag-3", "Jeýhun", "S-4727", "F-149", "Ýolöten-39".

The velayat has an extensive fleet of modern specialized equipment, including high-performance tractors purchased from world leaders in agricultural engineering, to prepare land for sowing and care for cotton. The uninterrupted holding of the spring campaign will be ensured by seeders and other agricultural equipment.

In addition, brigades have been created, in the arsenal of which are mobile workshops, welding machines and vehicles for transporting fuel. In general, all this will ensure an uninterrupted rhythm of agricultural work, laying a reliable foundation for the future harvest.

Before the start of the responsible season in the Dashoguz velayat, a meeting was held with the participation of heads and leading specialists of etrap khyakimliks, experienced agronomists, machine operators, tenants-cotton growers.

The participants discussed organizational issues related to the sowing campaign at the optimal time, the qualitative implementation of relevant agrotechnical measures in order to grow a generous harvest of "white gold" and other crops.

The center of celebrations on the occasion of the start of sowing was the daikhan association named after Biruni of the Shavat etrap, where an exhibition of agricultural machinery and products of the agro-industrial complex of the northern region of the country was launched. Thematic meetings were also held at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute in Dashoguz and other places in the velayat.

The song and musical performances of the masters of art, glorifying the Motherland, native people, the achievements of the country, increased the festive atmosphere of the current event.
