Having expressed sincere gratitude for spared time, the guest conveyed warm greetings of President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev to the Head of the State, Grigory Karasin mentioned that Russia highly appreciates traditionally friendly relations with Turkmenistan and pays great attention to the development of long-term partnership. Having thanked for warm words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that the development of constructive dialog with Russia is among priority vectors of foreign policy course pursued by Turkmenistan. Having addressed return greetings and best wishes to the President and the Prime Minister of Russian Federation, the Head of Turkmenistan stated stable level of Turkmen – Russian relations. During interested share of opinions on current situation and prospects of cooperation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his guest paid special attention to the realization of bilateral agreements, including those reached during the meeting of the Heads of Turkmenistan and Russia in November of this year in Sochi. It was highlighted that the contacts on interstate, intergovernmental and interstate levels, which establish opportunities for development of required forms of cooperation, enhance efficient realization of existing potential. Growing relations between Turkmenistan and constituent territories of Russian Federation like the Republic of Tatarstan, Astrakhan and Sverdlovsk regions, Sankt – Petersburg and other regions of the country are the samples of successful cooperation. The Head of the State and his guest spoke for continuation of mutually useful dialog in educational, science, cultural and art spheres. During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Representative of the MFA of Russian Federation discussed number of issues of the world politics. In this regards, the intention of both states to continue consolidating traditional cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats under competent international organizations and structures was confirmed. Having noted the fact that it would be 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Russian Federation in the next years, the Head of the State and his guest spoke for organization of joint events dedicated to this date. At the end of the meeting, the president of Turkmenistan and high-rank representative of the MFA of Russian expressed the confidence that bilateral relations would continue to be actively developed. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russian Federation to Turkmenistan Alexander Blokhin took part in the meeting.
