XXI International Exhibition and Conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2016”, organized by the State Concern “Turkmenneft” and the Trade and Industrial Chamber, was opened in the Exhibition Centre of the Trade and Industrial Chamber.  More than 70 companies from 20 countries of the world as well as department s of fuel and energy complex of our state put their stands in the Exhibition Centre. This is the evidence that, entering the range of the largest oil and gas states of the world, Turkmenistan gained the reputation of reliable and perspective partner. Turkmen market is exclusively attractive for international business circles owing to its hydrocarbon reserves and favourable investment climate established in the country.  Members of the Government, heads of the Mejlis, ministries and departments, non-governmental organizations, heads of diplomatic missions, specialists of oil and gas industry, foreign guests and others took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.  Production and services in exploration, drilling, production and transportation of hydrocarbon materials, deep drilling, marine exploration and construction of shoreline infrastructure, which is necessary for realization of the projects in the Caspian Sea, modernization of existing and construction of new pipelines, increase of production capacities of oil and gas processing and output of oil and gas wells were presented in the halls of the Exhibition Centre. Special place in the exhibition was allocated to ecological innovations and perspective developments in renewable sources of energy, improvement of ecological safety at the enterprises. There were companies, which work for a long time in our country among the exhibitors as well as newcomers, which interest in cooperation with Turkmen side grows from year to year.  It goes without saying that the visitors will be attracted by the stands of domestic State concerns “Turkmenneftegazstroy”, “Turkmengaz” and “Turkmenneft” and number of other branch departments, which develop the richest oil and gas deposits of our country.  Branch exposition in Ashgabat, by the opinion of numerous exhibitors, gives the opportunity to the leading world producers from Europe, Asia and America to present oil processing, oil and gas equipment, establish direct trade relations and expand marketing targets as well as serves as efficient ground for business communication of Turkmen and foreign specialists in oil and gas industry, start of new projects, familiarization with the world tendencies and perspectives of the development of the industry.  In the first day, the exhibitors of “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2016” expressed keen interest in cooperation with Turkmenistan where international business is being encouraged and foreign investments are protected by the legislation.  The main thematic sections of the exhibition are geological and geophysical studies, exploration of oil and gas deposits, development of oil and gas fields offshore and on land, drilling of horizontal wells, impact on the wells for improvement of the output, transport and storage of oil, gas and hydrocarbons, technology of construction and exploitation of pipelines, pumps, compressors, pneumatics, drives, engines, which are used in oil and gas complex, oil and gas processing, petrochemistry, energy and elctrotechnical equipment for oil and gas complex, automated systems of control and telemechanics of drilling processes, production, collection, storage and transport of oil and gas, ecology (scientific developments, technologies, equipment, control and measuring instruments, modern system of monitoring of the environment, utilization and waste management), health and safety, fire equipment and other.  Delegates from the USA, European countries, Asia, Middle East and the CIS participate in the conference under the International Exhibition. There are specialists of oil and gas field, representatives of refineries, scientific circles and other among them. High-rank officials lead many delegations. Foreign specialized publications, news agencies, publishing houses, internet portals provide considerable media support to the forum.  The plenary and session meetings, were statements on such topical subjects as the prognosis of the development of world, regional and domestic oil and gas sector, perspectives of oil and gas processing and petrochemical industry, use of modern studies and developments, technologies and methods of the development of oil and gas industry of our country and other were listened and discussed, were held in the first day of the exhibition.  Systematic approach of branch experts allows providing high level of discussions and presenting proposals, which are objectively required today during establishment of energy policy.  Besides, strategy issues of development of oil and gas sphere and expansion of international cooperation, the participants discussed the options of implementation of innovative technologies to the branch.  As for today, the experts estimate total geological reserves of our country as 71.2 billion tons of the fuel, where 53.01 billion tons belongs to land deposits and 18.2 billion tons to offshore fields.  Super gigantic by international classification “Galkynysh” field, which is developed by large international companies, is a bright evidence to this. It is known that the first stage of development of this unique field, the complex of facilities for gas treatment, has been already put into operation. Besides, realization of grandiose project for the development became actual with the beginning of construction of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakisatn – India gas main, which main source would be “Galkynysh” field.  Construction of this transnational gas pipeline, besides purely economic targets, will allow participating countries to solve number of social issues including those related to establishment of additional work occupancies, formation of transport, communication and social infrastructure along the gas main and other and, what is most important, it will support and consolidate political and social stability in the region.  Separate speeches were dedicated to the conversion of oil residues and highly viscous oils with production of engine fuels and non-ferrous metals, ecologically friendly clean high-octane types of petrol. The participants of the forum focused their attention at perspective development of domestic fuel and energy complex – gas chemistry, namely production of organic polymers such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinylchloride as well as urea formaldehyde tars and different paints, adhesives, building and construction materials. Owing to large reserves of natural gas, the production of these items for internal market and export is economically proved and perspective.  It was noted during the conference that solution of the issues in the development of oil and gas processing branch in Turkmenistan directly depends on consolidation of efforts of Turkmen scientists and representatives of foreign engineering companies, scientific production enterprises, production companies and investment organizations.  In this relation, the proposals of Turkmen side for further expansion of cooperation in oil and gas sphere with the leading international companies were uttered.
