Today, in Dubai city of the United Arab Emirates the International Roadshow to Attract Foreign Investments in Turkmenistan’s Energy Sector started its work.

This specialized forum aimed at strengthening a dialogue with all interested foreign partners in further sustainable development of energy sector and expansion of possibilities of attraction of direct foreign investments in the national fuel and energy complex, is held not only in a traditional format, but is also broadcast by means of digital visual communications in tens of world countries.

The present forum brought together heads and representatives of the oil and gas sector of our country and famous foreign business structures, financial institutions, authoritative international organizations and leading experts of profile companies.

Such a diverse composition of participants testifies to the special attention of world business circles in the growing oil and gas market of Turkmenistan. Their aspiration to development of partnership with our country, which possesses an enormous energy potential and occupies one of the leading positions in the world for reserves of hydrocarbons, is stipulated by the policy of "open doors”, equality in rights and mutually advantageous interstate relations and constructive initiatives of the Turkmen side for ensuring global energy security.

At the solemn ceremony of opening of the forum with great attention a welcoming message of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in which, an exclusive importance of the present event is underlined, was listened.

In his message, the head of the state expressed confidence that the forum will become a remarkable platform for constructive exchange of opinions and proposals on pressing issues, including those on development of export of natural gas, diversification of its routes, development of perspective areas of attraction of investments in gas-processing, gas chemistry branch, building of new manufactures of oil and gas industry and minimization of their impact on the environment.

On the agenda of the two-day international conference held within the framework  of the investment forum outside the country, such vital topics as an effective utilization of the richest natural resources, development of energy markets, attraction of investments into projects of development of sea blocks of the Turkmen sector of the Caspian sea, new mechanisms of interaction in the field of productivity increase at “Galkynysh” field, introduction of ecologically harmless manufactures, attraction of innovative technologies and know-how took place.

Heads and leading experts of the national oil and gas sector and foreign companies delivered their papers. 

The role of the neutral status of Turkmenistan as an effective mechanism of adjustment of fruitful cooperation for solution of priority issues, strengthening of friendly, good-neighbourhood relations between states was especially marked.

It was underlined that among primary factors of a growing attractiveness of Turkmenistan for foreign investors - a stable economic and political situation in the country and a corresponding legislative basis. The gathered was acquainted with achievements of the national oil and gas sector, further plans for its development.

The building of the TAPI gas pipeline – a real investment project, which acts among effective steps to realization of the energy strategy of Turkmenistan. Along with solution of actual social issues, this project opens a wide way for development of effective cooperation between countries of the region, augmentation of their economic potential and urges promotion of peace and sustainable development.

Long-term plans of the national gas chemistry and oil refining branches are closely interlinked with an ecological component. In development of natural resources, our fatherland shows rationalism in their use, care of preservation of the environment, realizes important international initiatives concerning energy security in the region and the world. Industrial projects commissioned into operation, where a special significance is given to observance of ecological norms, can serve the best example for it.

In the given context, Turkmenistan is ready for further expansion and activization of cooperation with international structures for minimization of ecological risks at extraction of energy resources, introductions of effective protective technologies in the production cycle, application of modern administrative solutions. Now such work in the country yields good results.

The special attention was given to the topic of attraction of investments into development of sea blocks of the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.

Representatives of various profile companies of the world delivered their presentations, shared their gained experience and new scientific solutions, innovative projects, including those ones in the sphere of renewable energy sources.

Participants noted a high productivity of discussions held and supported continuation of practice of similar events and expressed confidence that the present forum will play an important role in further expansion of fruitful interaction in the energy sphere.
