At the Summit in Jeddah, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed the establishment of a meeting of foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
Speaking at the «Central Asia-Gulf Cooperation Council» Summit, the head of state noted that today a difficult international political situation is developing in various regions, and a similar situation is observed in areas adjacent to the countries of Central Asia and the states that are members of the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf.
According to the President of Turkmenistan, this circumstance requires the participants of the Summit to consolidate their efforts and adequately respond to existing global challenges and threats.
«In this regard, we consider it expedient to create a permanent mechanism - the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Central Asian countries and the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf», –Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
