At the Ashgabat International Airport, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in a trilateral summit meeting.

Warmly welcoming the distinguished guest to the ancient and hospitable Turkmen land, Hero-Arkadag thanked President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for accepting the invitation to visit fraternal Turkmenistan and expressed confidence that the upcoming high-level talks during this visit would provide an excellent opportunity to exchange views on the prospects for the development of a trilateral dialogue - Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, expanding their interaction in the political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and potential for further development of Turkmen-Tajik relations, taking into account the priorities of the socio-economic development of the two states.
