At the «Arkadag» hotel in the capital, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who arrived in Ashgabat to attend a trilateral summit.

The heads of the two fraternal states discussed issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in a number of topical areas of interaction. The parties also exchanged views on international and regional policy issues of mutual interest.

The presidents of the two neighbouring states expressed confidence that the upcoming trilateral summit of the heads of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan would give a powerful impetus to the development of regional partnership.
