National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the Turkmen-German business forum, characterized the state of economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany.

«The most important priority for relations with Germany is the economy. We see German companies as reliable and promising partners. They are distinguished by high professionalism, responsibility, understanding of mutual benefits and the value of cooperation with Turkmenistan», –said Hero-Arkadag.

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty noted that Ashgabat supports, welcomes and will continue to encourage the activities of German businesses in the Turkmen market.

As a successful example of interaction, Hero-Arkadag named the long-term and effective activities in Turkmenistan of the German companies «Siemens», «Daimler», «Claas», «MAN», «Rode» and «Schwarz», and a number of others.

In general, according to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, bilateral economic cooperation is developing consistently, demonstrating good dynamics.

At the same time, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that mutual potential can be used much more effectively, first of all, taking into account the diversification of the economy of Turkmenistan, the widespread introduction of high-tech industries and the dynamic development of infrastructure.

«I am convinced that we are at a stage when we need truly large-scale, breakthrough joint projects that would become the locomotive of economic cooperation and open up prospects for attracting new investments, creating related industries, and modern services. In a word, we would give impetus to the beginning of a strategic Turkmen-German partnership in the economic, investment, and technological spheres», –said the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
