By the request of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdiyeva received the copies of credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Turkmenistan Majibur Rahman Bhuyan. On behalf of the Head of the State, the Leader of National Parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to responsible post and wished him success in consolidation of friendly relations between two states. Having expressed the gratitude for warm welcome, Majibur Rahman Bhuyan conveyed the greetings of the high officials of his country to president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and assured that he would take all efforts as Ambassador of Bangladesh for the development of interstate dialog. During the meeting, the Ambassador was introduced with main directions of internal and foreign policy of Turkmenistan, social and economic transformations undertaken in the country by the initiative and under leadership of the Head of the State as well as with large-scale projects including transnational ones, which are aimed at main objective – prosperity of Turkmen and other people of the region. Having expressed the delight with grandiose transformation occurred in ancient Turkmen land, the diplomat made special mention of high international authority of our state, which neutral status enhance the realization of peace-making potential for common interests. In this context, the interest in establishment of full-scale trade and economic partnership, for which there are broad opportunities, was mentioned. The intent for establishment of closer contacts in cultural and humanitarian spheres, in tourism and sport was also highlighted. Key aspects of legislation activity of Turkmen Parliament, positive practice of establishment of international relations in this field was a separate subject of discussion. * * * On December 20, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bangladesh to Turkmenistan was received in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where constructive share of the opinions on the subjects of the development of bilateral cooperation, which meets modern realities and mutual interests, took place. During his stay in Ashgabat, the diplomat will also have meetings in number of ministries and departments, familiarize with exhibits of the museums and places of interests of Turkmen capital.
