President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived on a working visit to Tashkent to participate in the 16th meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization, met with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The parties discussed the development of mutually beneficial Turkmen-Uzbek partnership in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The heads of neighbouring states paid special attention to expanding economic cooperation in the Economic Cooperation Organization space.

The parties also exchanged views on issues of the international and regional agenda of mutual interest.
