Today, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko.

First of all, Hero-Arkadag addressed the speaker of the upper house of the Parliament of the RF with sincere condolences on behalf of himself and on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in connection with the tragedy that occurred yesterday in the Moscow region, which claimed the lives of many people, and asked to convey words of sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims, and We also wish a speedy recovery to those injured in this terrible terrorist attack.

- You and I are long-time friends and have been working together for many years to strengthen the friendship of the peoples of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation. Therefore, in such a difficult hour, you can fully count on the fraternal support of Turkmenistan, –the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized. In this regard, the readiness of the Turkmen side to provide medical assistance, send medicines, dressings, and other necessary items was expressed.

The readiness to provide all possible assistance to the affected children was especially emphasized. As noted, as a friendly gesture, they can be received in Turkmenistan, where all conditions for physical and psychological rehabilitation will be created in the most modern medical and health centres in our country. In this humane cause, all the capabilities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation, headed by Hero-Arkadag, will be used to help children in need of care.

During the conversation, it was emphasized that for Turkmenistan Russia has always been and remains a good neighbour, friend, and strategic partner.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people reminded that during meetings with the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko, the importance of Turkmen-Russian relations in a wide range of areas was repeatedly emphasized.

- In this context, as Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, I want to emphasize the strong commitment of our neutral country to continue to pursue the development of traditionally friendly ties between the peoples of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation. To this end, we are doing a lot to activate political and diplomatic interaction, trade and economic cooperation, and partnership in the social sphere, –Hero-Arkadag noted.

National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov especially emphasized the humanitarian component of bilateral relations.
