A carbamide plant with an annual capacity of 1,155,000 tons of carbamide is being constructed in the town of Garabogaz, Balkan velayat. The project is being implemented by “Türkmenhimiýa” State Concern jointly with the consortium of companies: “Mitsubishi Corporation” (Japan) and Gap Inşaat” (Turkey). The gas chemical complex will be equipped with state-of-the-art licensed technologies and facilities from the world’s leaders, such as “Haldor Topsoe” (Denmark), “Saipem” (Italy), “Uhde Fertilazer” (Neatherlands), and “UOP” (USA). Over 3,000 workers - Turkmen and foreign citizens, are involved in the building works with the use of 300 pieces of equipment. Installation of ammonia-collecting facility has been now completed in an ammonia production department; equipment installation and steel work is in progress in a carbamide department. 287 specialists for the enterprise are currently being trained at the subdivision of the Turkmenabat secondary vocational school of “Türkmenhimiýa” State Concern in Garabogaz. Students undergo practical training at enterprises of the Concern – “Tejenkarbamid” and “Marykarbamid” Plants. The complex is being built as part of the comprehensive industrialization program, aimed to develop the country’s resource potential and expand exports.
