President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting in Mary city airport with participation of some of the Vice-Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement bodies of the country and hakim of Mary welayat. The discussion centered on the main directions of socio-economic development of Mary welayat, issues related to industrialization of the region, modernization of industrial infrastructure, and further increase in the standard of living and welfare of the population. Participants have considered the situation in agricultural sector, stimulating activity of tenants, landlords, creation of new production facilities, organization of festivals and cultural events. Reports have been given on the status of construction sites for projects under construction in the welayat, measures taken to improve the efficiency of the enterprises of electric power industry, large-scale construction works carried out at Mary state power station. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has instructed to keep the issues related to implementation of tasks for the development of electric power industry, identified within the “National Program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for 2011-2030”, under strict control.
