President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left with working trip for Lebap Velayat. Upon arrival to Turkmenabad Airport, the Head of the State held working session with participation of certain vice-premiers, leaders of military and law enforcement departments and the Hyakim of Lebap Velayat. Range of issues, related to social and economic development of the region, realization of industrial, natural reserve and transport and transit potential, was brought up for discussion. First, the floor was given to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Ereshov who was appointed as person in charge for Lebap Velayat. The Vice-premier reported on the fulfilment if of the assignments given by the Head of the State for establishment of favourable conditions for further stable social and economic development of the velayat, improvement of the activities of leading branches of national economy, in particular the development of domestic chemical industry. In this case, this is about realization of large-scale Turkmen – Belarusian Joint project for construction of Garlyk Mining and Processing Complex for production of potassium fertilizers in Koytendag etrap, Lebap Velayat. Speaking of the importance of this largest chemical enterprise, the Head of the State highlighted the necessity to fasten construction works at the facility, which commissioning would open new prospects for further development of chemical industry and accumulation of its export potential. After, Hyakim of Lebap Velayat CH. Charliyev reported on current situation in the region and fulfilment of the tasks assigned by the Head of the State for improvement of the life level of the population, construction rates at industrial, social and cultural facilities, steadfast realization of National Programme for improvement of rural areas. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the necessity of integrated measures for the solution of the issues, what would promote comprehensive development of the regions and improvemnt of social and living conditions of the population. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the work for construction of automobile and railway roads and bridges of international importance in all the regions of the country including Lebap Velayat. Successful first Global Sustainable Transport Conference in our country was critical move on the way of recognition of Turkmenistan as international logistic centre, - the Vice-premier mentioned. The construction of roads and bridges of international importance in our country indicates the efficiency of the works undertaken in this direction. Taking into account great importance of transit and transport corridors for making Turkmenistan international logistic hub, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made special mention on the necessity of improvement of the efficiency of the measures taken in this direction. Vice-premier B. Atdayev informed on the course of works carried out for increase of foreign trade turnover using important infrastructural facilities under construction. Having listened to the report, the Head of the State noted that efficient exploitation of rail and automobile roads and bridges, use of opportunities of transit infrastructure would determine the increase of international trade turnover and the development of export potential of our country. Minister of Defence, Secretary of the State Security Council Ya. Berdiyev informed on the solution of the objectives of the Defensive Military doctrine of Turkmenistan and on the course of preparation to the celebration of the Motherland Defender Day. During the working session, Head of the Satte Migration Service M. Nobatov reported on the procedure of registration of foreign citizens arriving to our country. In his turn, Chairman of the State Custom Service M. Chakiyev, having noted that transit and transport corridors of our country have been activated recently, especially in Lebap Velayat, reported on relative work undertaken by the Custom Service in this direction. The Head of the State spoke on the necessity of further improvement of the activity of military structures, equipment and facilities base of the Armed Forces, professional skills of military personnel, their service and living as well as provision of high level of organization of the Motherland Defender Day. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted the necessity of undertaken measures for the development of domestic road network under the realization of the initiatives of our country, improvement of its status as large regional and international transport and transit hub and logistic centre. Having wished all the participants success in fulfilment of sset objectives, Presdient of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov completed the session and left the place of event.
