The annual wide celebration of the Constitution Day and the National Flag of Turkmenistan is a tribute to and veneration of the greatest heritage and spiritual traditions of glorious ancestors.
In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, the Basic Law and the green Banner have become the embodiment of the inviolability of the foundations of the independence and neutrality of the Fatherland, the unwavering commitment of our united people to the ideals of peace, goodness and creation, their desire to live according to the traditions of friendship and brotherhood.
It is no coincidence that the Constitution of Turkmenistan, adopted at the dawn of sacred independence, has absorbed all the best, becoming a harmonious synthesis of the people's centuries-old experience in building a state and key norms of international law.
It was the Basic Law that determined the main vectors of the political, economic and socio-cultural development of our sovereign country for decades to come, serving as a reliable basis for the successful promotion of large-scale socio-economic and democratic reforms aimed at the steady prosperity of the Fatherland.
In 2025, declared by the United Nations General Assembly on the initiative of Turkmenistan as the «International Year of Peace and Trust», our country continued its confident advancement along the chosen path of creation and progress, marked by grandiose accomplishments and achievements.
A clear confirmation of this is the results of the work carried out in Turkmenistan over the four months of this year, announced at the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on the 8th of May.
A verified economic strategy, focus on broad international cooperation and the progressiveness of the reforms launched in the country have become important measures that have ensured the Turkmen state a consistently high rate of GDP growth, which has increased by 6.3 percent since the beginning of the year. In industry, the growth rate was 0.6 percent, in construction - 4.4 percent, in the transport and communications sector - 11.1 percent, in trade - 9.9 percent, in agriculture - 4 percent, in the service sector - 8.8 percent.
In accordance with the Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2028, all sectors of the economy where positive production indicators have been achieved are successfully developing. Compared with the same period in 2024, the overall volume of manufactured products increased by 9.7 percent. As already reported, over four months, retail turnover increased by 12.4 percent compared to the same period last year, and foreign trade turnover by 2.2 percent.
The achievements of the new historical epoch are directly facilitated by the annually increasing volumes of capital investments directed to the implementation of socio-economic programs and large-scale investment projects. Compared with the same period last year, in January-April the volume of capital investments mastered from all sources of financing is 11.4 percent higher.
As is known, the domestic construction and industrial complex is fully focused on the implementation of adopted state programs for housing construction, transformation of regions, industrialisation, expansion of industrial and transport infrastructure.
The country is systematically working on the modernisation of existing production facilities, the construction of large industrial enterprises equipped with innovative equipment from leading global companies, specialised plants for the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products, etc.
Every year, the role of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in the sustainable development of the national economy is increasing, whose representatives, taking into account the accumulated positive experience, are entrusted with the implementation of many important projects. It should be noted that the growth in agricultural and food production volumes under the UIET for the first four months of this year reached 112.5 percent, industrial - 104.5 percent.
In accordance with the priorities of the socially oriented policy laid down by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag and successfully continued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, special importance is attached to the creation of conditions for a comfortable life and creative work of Turkmen citizens. Thus, numerous social and cultural facilities are being built at a high pace throughout the country, including residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, shopping and entertainment centres, etc. In the current anniversary year, marked by the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, many more important architectural premieres are expected, which will become a clear reflection of the success of the policy aimed at bringing the Fatherland into the ranks of the most dynamically developing countries on the planet.
In this way, the inspired Turkmen people, confidently moving towards the cherished goals of the great historical era, met the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag of Turkmenistan with yet another remarkable labor victory, in an atmosphere of unity, solidarity and high spiritual uplift.
